Composite image of the Cloth Hall in the Grote Markt in Ypres. Comprised of layers of postcards and photographs taken over the last century from the original medieval hall, through the fires of the early war years and it’s subsequent encasement in scaffolding to try and protect it, through the bombardments which reduced it to a stump and on to its rebuilding based on the original plan to the reconstructed Cloth Hall we know now.
