Overstrand means Narrow shore which it is, hunched cliffs hang over sand and shingle, a concrete edge doing it;s best to protect the cliffs from the the mass of dark water. You gaze north-north-east here at the burnished horizon the slipping curve hiding Scandinavia. I have history in this story, a place I know well from a different life, a thin layer in the soft strata of time worn and exposed by the sea. Originally taken at dusk at the beginning of January 2012, after a winter day where the sun skipped the horizon in a low arc, descending in the west, it briefly lit the sea as the cliff shadow fell across the beach – a Cmd-Option-Esc relaunch for the soul into a new week, and a new year.
Both printed using Giclée Lucia Pigment inks. Price includes delivery by registered post (UK only*), prints are supplied in a rigid tube.
Please note there will always be some variation between how an image appears on screen due to the difference between colour gamut and monitor gamma and colour settings on different devices which use 3 colour subtractive RGB colour and printers which use a multicolour variation of CMYK or a multi-tonal version of greyscale.
