One of the arc of holes blown in the German lines along the edge of the Ypres Salient at 3.10am on the 7th of June 1917. The explosion here shattered the water table. The crater now sits quietly, just floating leaves and rising crucian carp and roach the lip a ring of trees like a water-filled Marl pit.,
